Please note:

There is some building noise 9 am and 5 pm from October 2022 to April 2024, and scaffolding in one area of The Glebe.

There is roadwork being carried out on Beetham and Melbourne Street until November 2024. During the day there will be intermittent loud noise and some vibration.

Reception hours are 8 am to 6 pm

Self check-in is operating for all apartments we will send you the information and an access code the day before arrival.

Travel Agent and Expedia Reservations

Please contact us directly to check that everything is in order with your reservation. We are finding important information is not being passed on to their clients.

Extra People Charges

As per legislation we have to be aware of the number of guests occupying our apartments at all times. Additional guests beyond the number booked are charged at NZ$50 per night if notified prior to check-in. If found to have additional guests once checked in the penalty rate is NZ$100 per person per night. The owner reserves the right to terminate a rental immediately should the number of occupants of the apartment exceed the number of guests booked. We allow 1 child under the age of 2 free of charge using existing bedding.

Payment

Online bookings are not always confirmed bookings, we will confirm once we are assured our policies are read and understood.

A 1.44% surcharge applies to all Visa and Mastercard payments made by Credit Card (3.35% for Amex). To avoid this charge you can pay by bank transfer, eftpos or cash.

Bank transfers from overseas - Transaction fees of up to $50.00 apply please check with your bank.

Refunds will only be made the to the credit card debited for the original transaction amount less any associated fees.

Wi-Fi

Free unlimited wi-fi for direct bookings through this website. (Fair use policy applies)

New Year Bookings:

Online bookings will only be confirmed once our terms & conditions have been accepted and bookings have been approved by management. We will be not accepting any group bookings only families & seniors.

Hens, Stag Parties or any single group bookings:

We do not accept any party groups or single group bookings. We have zero noise policy.

2 Bedroom Penthouse - $115.00

4 + Bedroom Penthouse - $180.00

Consists of beds being made (linen not changed) Rubbish removal, fresh towels, toiletries, washing powder and other consumables restocked.

Check-in: Is available from 3 pm on the day of arrival.

Check-out: Is 10 am on the day of departure. Early check-in or check-out is by arrangement.

Cancellation/refund policy:


DEPOSIT/ FINAL PAYMENT POLICIES:

To fully secure your reservation, we require a full one night deposit within 48 hours of your booking being confirmed. Note: if your deposit is not received within 48 hours, The Glebe reserves the right to release your booking(s) from our reservation system.

Note: Bookings traveling within 30 days is required to pay the full amount at the time of booking.

STANDARD CANCELLATION:

Every amendment and cancellation affect us significantly therefore we strongly adhere to our Cancellation and Amendment policies. If you are cancelling or amending your dates:

31 days prior to arrival: No fee applies
30 days prior to arrival: 100% of total accommodation

Note: these charges apply for each room booked.


CANCELLATIONS/ CHANGES TO BOOKINGS MADE BY THE GLEBE:

Whilst we endeavor to provide all facilities advertised, we will not be liable for compensation in the event we are forced to provide limited services, cancel or change your booking in any way. This would be as a result of situations outside our control which we could not foresee or avoid such as pandemics, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disasters, war, terrorist activities, flood or fire. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

TRAVEL INSURANCE RECOMMENDATION:

We strongly recommend that you purchase adequate Travel Insurance. This will protect you against unforeseen advents, including but not limited to cancellation and/ or curtailment of travel due to natural disasters such as snowstorms or similar events.

Special conditions apply to Group quotations/reservations.

Smoking:

The Glebe is a smoke-free complex. Smoking will not be permitted anywhere in the complex including balconies and courtyards.

General: Visitors must vacate the building before 8 p.m. maximum visitors 4. All visitors must show receptionist their covid passports to enter the building.The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behavior resulting in loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest. Parties are not allowed and any noise will not be tolerated whatever the time of day.

Credit Card:

Our policy is to hold credit card details for any unreported breakages, damages or additional cleaning - all of which will be charged against this card. In the event of no credit card, we then require a bond of $500 which will be refunded after the apartment has been checked. Any outstanding expenses will also be charged.
